Super Duplex Steel Products
This group of duplex steel is designed for applications where excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are required, for instance, chemical, oil, offshore and marine engineering. Such kind of steel offers high strength and corrosion resistance. It has PREn (pitting resistance equivalent number) greater than 40; higher number than any other alloy. This steel is developed from austenite and ferrite in ratio of 50:50. The company stocks and releases super duplex steel products in various specifications in a variety of forms- pipes, tubes, round bars, fasteners, hexagon bar, and flanges. These products are used in making of components, parts, equipment and machinery in industries, like Oil and gas, Pulp and paper, Desalination, Mining and mineral, Marine, Power generation, Chemical and Pharmaceutical.
- These super duplex steel products are resistant to erosion and stress corrosion cracking.
- Its weldability property allows the engineers to machine these products into different shapes and sizes with ease.
- These products are used in making pressure vessels, fire fighting systems, heat exchangers, injection & ballast water systems, boilers, flow lines, risers, coolers, manifolds, separators, process piping, etc.
- At room temperature, the physical properties of this alloy are 500 J.kg-1.°K-1 specific heat (0-100°C), 15 W.m -1.°K-1 thermal conductivity, 11 mm/m/°C thermal expansion, 200 GPa modulus elasticity, 8.12 μohm/cm electrical resistivity and 7.8 g/cm3 density.
